“Ohio-Mississippi floods of 1937. Made in the bootheel of Missouri. The 37′ flood brought under water great sections of the lowlands of S.E., Missouri. Many farms and farm homes were underwater. The two women are looking over their own home as the muddy water rushes by.
A series of drawings were made of conditions there for The Kansas City Star and The St. Louis Post Dispatch. The lithograph is from one of the drawings.”
